Answers To All Your

FAQS

Are you a veterinarian?

NO. I am a certified veterinary technician (CVT) and certified canine rehabilitation practitioner (CCRP). My services are intended to work in conjunction with your veterinarian, and are carried out in your home under their indirect supervision. Veterinary nursing treatments, physical rehabilitation and medical tests must be pre-authorized by your veterinarian. Vet Tech To Go will not diagnose or change your veterinarian's treatment plan. Pet evaluations conducted by Vet Tech To Go do not take the place of routine veterinarian examinations. Vet Tech To Go can only make recommendations for you to discuss with your veterinarian.

Why aren't you a veterinarian?

I love being a CVT - I get to do all of the "fun" stuff! I've been an anesthetist, dental hygienist, behaviorist, psychologist, teacher, mortician, parasitologist, microbiologist, radiology technician, janitor, dog walker, cat cuddler, scrub nurse, and shoulder to cry on. I've turned hearts "on" and "off" during pacemaker implantations, and taught paralyzed dogs how to walk again. It's hard to get more awesome than that!

How do i know i can trust you with my pets/patients?

I am proud to be able to provide 20 years of recommendations from clients and superiors. I have unparalleled experience, compassion, and discretion. I have been a professional dog walker and pet sitter in Chicago, I graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology with honors, I've worked in small animal hospitals in Denver and in the Pensacola area, I worked at the Veterinary Emergency Referral Center for 4 years, I've worked closely with boarded veterinarians, I worked at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, I passed the UT-CCRP program by taking the same test that veterinarians take to pass it, I helped to start, build, and grow a rehab practice, now I've started my own business. My goal is always to surpass expectations.

How does this work?

Veterinarians may recommend Vet Tech To Go to clients or contact me directly. Pet owners contacting me will be advised as to whether Vet Tech To Go will need authorization from their veterinarian prior to service, in which case a veterinary authorization form will be emailed to the veterinarian and a patient history, treatment outline, and signature will be required before proceeding. Vet Tech To Go will provide notes on every visit to the client's veterinarian within 48 hours of the visit.
